June, 2023. I have used OmniPage Ultimate for several years because it had the best accuracy when converting PDF to Word and Excel. And I check a LOT of products to determine this! In addition, I found it useful for being able to run a batch of PDFs from a single folder. However, it ran into a memory glitch. Nuance advised that it loads ALL of the PDFs rather than processing sequentially, hence, the memory crash when hundreds of PDFs with hundreds of pages were to be processed. Had to split them into smaller groups. TODAY, OmniPage is no longer THE BEST for accuracy. I needed to extract text from PDF files that had each page as an image. So of course, I turned to OmniPage Ulimate (V19.1). Unforunately, many of the ID numbers (alphanumeric) were not converted correctly. Luckily, I was able to find not one but TWO alternative converters that gave 100% accuracy for the ID numbers. So, if Nuance wants to keep OmniPage relevant, they better do some checking on the competition and see if they can improve their accuracy to meet or beat the competition.
Hi, how is it possible that this v. 19 is not sold on the website of its manufacturer Nuance? There is the last version 18! Something is wrong there, isn't it? Thanks for info! JM
